Guess who's contesting the NUHW victory at Memorial?
For once it's not the Zombies. Nor it is the Memorial Bridge folks with their close-but-who-really-cares second place finish. It's the workers "best friend"...management! These are the folks who laid off 200 employees in February, just days after the trusteeship, and then hired them back at cut throat rates, with no health insurance, vacation time, or sick time. I'm just sayin'...lest we forget.

What is/are "the Memorial Bridge folks with their close-but-who-really-cares second place finish"? I'm not from Santa Rosa. Is that some kind of local reference?

ReplyDeleteThe Memorial Bridge crowd are anti-union workers who believe they can work out their difference and advocate for themselves without a union to back them.
I agree with Keyser Soze. Memorial Hospital management should suck it up and admit that they lost the election. Now, however, they're crying sour grapes and attempting to discredit NUHW and its many supporters within the community and the state. This union busting tactic by management will not be successful.
