Anyway, on the the meat of this entry.It appears the Summer Games, errr I mean WWIII has begun. Randy Shaw scoops the story below. Having been burned by the Zombies I look forward to a summer of stunning defeats for the Zombies. I fully expect they will "win" some elections if only by brute force, 100% annual turnover at various nursing homes with pending elections and because of these conditions NUHW has to good sense to pullout before the election.

The despicalbe and dangerous strategy that Mary Kay Henry, Dave Regan and Eliseo Medina have chosen to attemept to annihilate NUHW will only serve to futher alienate SEIU from progressives and the labor movement as whole.
ReplyDeleteSEIU's leadership has crossed the line and they have no qualmes about joining Kaiser management in order to destroy NUHW. But seiu's strategy for victory is actually a recipe for self destruction. SEIU's willingness to expose themselves as having a very cozy relationship with management in order to intimidate and harrass NUHW supporters and to prevent them from voting for the union of their choice will backfire on them.
In the end, SEIU-UHW will be humiliated and disgraced for their business unionism and collusion with management. SEIU has no credibility left with California's healthcare workers and they they will suffer total defeat at the hands of Kaiser workers and at other hospitals as well.
NUHW RISING! UNITE HERE RISING! SEIU DIMINISHING!
Go NUHW! The choice is clear, democracy, transparency, accountability, values, workers driven, vote, cheaper union dues, freedom from totalitarian international thugs. No employer collution, no partnership tax and independance. The choice is clear go NUHW!
